Cavaletic was born in 2014 by Elodie Traclet.  Cavaletic is reflective of Elodie's passion for both horses and fashion.  Having worked for many years in the fashion industry, she was all too aware of the ecological impact of the fashion industry, and following the birth of her son she determined to become an active advocate for the world she wanted him to inherit.

The fabrics from which her designs are crafted are, organically certified cotton and Lyocell made from Eucalyptus fibre of sustainable forests.  Elastane, sourced from recycled material, allows the free movement riders require. Cavaletic's commitment to environmental and ecological ethos is consistent through even the small details; buttons are made from mother of pearl, wood, corozzo and even coconut.

Cavaletic works with European or Mediterranean manufacturing to minimize the carbon footprint of its products; and finally, Cavaletic works with business partners who are socially engaged.

• 1978 - The company is founded by Paul Sahle
• Initially, only riding boots are produced. Shortly thereafter, production is expanded to include orthopaedic shoes and made-to-measure products for wearers of artificial limbs.
• Within just a few years, breakthrough to become market leader in the production of riding boots.
• Mid-1980s Production of golf shoes commences.
• 1990 Acquisition of Derby Dress. Manufacture of top-quality equestrian wear commences in Bad Oeynhausen.
• 1993 Acquisition of Hoppe. The clothing range is extended to include an assortment of chaps for riders. The name Hoppiletten is copyright protected, Cavallo is Germany's leading manufacturer of this product.
• All golfing and equestrian sport articles are sold exclusively through relevant specialist retailers for sporting merchandise.
• The lion´s share of production is still located in Bad Oeynhausen, where much is still finished by hand and the quality standards are particularly high.
